Who we are
Woolong Capital Pte Ltd, Unique Entity Number 202618356M, 9 Raffles Place, #29-05 Republic Plaza, Singapore 048619, lends to Australian companies and self-managed super funds that buy, install and rent modular dwellings.
This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We apply them to all the personal information we hold, wherever we hold it.
What we collect
We collect personal information about the directors, guarantors and co-owners of the companies we lend to, and about brokers and website visitors:
- names, dates of birth, home addresses, email addresses and phone numbers
- identification documents
- details of property a director owns, including its title and any mortgage
- the company's bank statements, financial records and build contract, which can name people
- credit reports on directors and guarantors from Equifax, the credit reporting body we use
- for brokers, your firm, agent number and aggregator
- what you type into our website forms, and the few small items our website keeps in your browser to keep you signed in, save your application and remember that you have seen the cookie notice. We use no advertising or analytics cookies
Why we collect it
We use personal information to assess applications, verify identity, value the dwelling and the property, set up and manage each facility, pay draws to your builder, collect repayments and meet our legal obligations.
We also use it to answer enquiries and to run our broker program.
Open banking through Basiq
When you link the company's bank account, Basiq gives us read only access through open banking. We see balances and transactions, and payments stay in your hands.
You choose the accounts and how long access lasts, up to 12 months. You can withdraw your consent at any time through Basiq's consent dashboard or by emailing us, and Basiq then deletes the data it holds.
Signing with DocuSign
Every document is signed electronically through DocuSign. DocuSign holds the signed documents, each signer's name and email address, and the record of when they signed. DocuSign keeps these records under its own privacy policy.
Storage and security
We store information with Amazon Web Services, in the United States. Our website and build account use 256-bit encryption on every page, and only staff who need information for their work can reach it.
We keep records for 7 years after a facility ends, then destroy or de-identify them.
Who we share it with
Each party gets only what it needs:
- your builder, for draw amounts and dates
- the independent quantity surveyor and the valuer
- lawyers, including the lawyers who give independent legal advice to guarantors and co-owners
- Basiq and DocuSign
- insurers that note Woolong on your policies
- the Personal Property Securities Register and the land titles office, to register our security
- Equifax, the credit reporting body we use
- our funders, auditors and professional advisers
- government agencies and courts, where the law requires it
Some of these recipients are overseas: our team in Singapore, Amazon Web Services in the United States, which hosts our website, build account and files, and DocuSign, which can hold signed documents outside Australia.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email business@woolong.com.au. We respond within 30 days.

Tell us first, through the complaints details on our contact page. We respond within 30 days.
If our answer leaves the matter unresolved, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
